Sarah Clark was appointed as Secretary of Administration on November 18, 2024 by Governor Philip B. Scott. Previously she was appointed as Interim Secretary of Administration on May 17, 2024 and Deputy Secretary of Administration on November 1, 2023.
Clark has served the State of Vermont for 21 years as a leader in budget and financial management. She has worked in both the Executive and Legislative branches. For the Legislature, she served as the Deputy Fiscal Officer of the Joint Fiscal Office from 2021 to 2023. In the executive branch, she worked for a variety of Agencies and Departments including as the Chief Financial Officer of the Agency of Human Services, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Finance & Management, Financial Director at the Department of Corrections and Interim Commissioner and Financial Manager of the Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation. Prior to working for Vermont State Government, Clark worked for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, a federal bank regulator.
