Memo: Annual Employee Engagement Survey Begins June 9, 2025

The Department of Human Resources (DHR) will launch the annual Employee Engagement Survey to all Executive Branch employees on Monday, June 9, 2025.
This is our annual opportunity to gather employee feedback to understand what our teams need to feel more connected to our work, so they perform at their best in support of Vermonters.
The survey will be distributed to classified, exempt, and temporary employees as of the date of the survey. Please encourage your teams to complete it, and to do so candidly.
Their feedback is important, and is reviewed and discussed by the Governor, his team and the entire Cabinet. The results provide valuable insights into how we can enhance the overall employee experience, so we retain talented workers and execute our missions.
The 2025 Employee Engagement Survey is anonymous and will be open for three weeks, beginning Monday, June 9 until Friday, June 27. This year’s survey will be shorter and easier to complete. In addition to the base survey, there will be questions on organizational culture, teleworking, and psychological safety.
Once the survey is completed, DHR will compile and present the results on the DHR website, to include an interactive dashboard and written summary analysis report.

Everyone’s voice matters, therefore strong employee participation leads to more meaningful survey results. Please encourage your staff to take part – we truly want to hear from each one of them.
