Jeb Spaulding was appointed Secretary of the Vermont Agency of Administration by Governor Peter Shumlin in January 2011. Prior to this appointment, Spaulding served as the Vermont State Treasurer from 2003 to 2010. 


During his tenure as State Treasurer, Spaulding emphasized continuous improvement in the treasury fundamentals of cash, debt, investment and risk management. He was active in the National Association of State Treasurers and past president and chair of the long range planning committee.


Prior to being elected State Treasurer, Spaulding served eight terms in the Vermont State Senate from 1985-2000. Spaulding was a founder and General Manager of WNCS-FM in Montpelier and a partner in Precision Media, Inc.; community level service included organizations such as the Red Cross, United Way, Central Vermont Adult Basic Education, and the Washington County 4-H Foundation.


Spaulding was educated at the University of Vermont where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree in Education. He is married to Susan Morse Spaulding and they have two grown daughters.
